Cheer Fit

Woohoo! My first blog! This is a busy week for Cheer Fit! On Tuesday we cheered for Sparks, the children's medical research charity, to win Santander Charity of the Year. On being told to meet the Sparks team "outside Euston Abbey" we scratched our heads and did our best to find it on the internet. If St. Paul's has a cathedral, we reasoned, perhaps Euston has an abbey and we just hadn't picked up on it? We finally made it to the Abbey National head office in Triton Square, Euston (thanks for the great directions, guys!) where we cheered on the Santander employees to vote for Sparks, who we've previously cheered for at the London Marathon and the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon. We performed our Sparks cheer outside the Abbey building, drank a revolting quantity of Red Bull, had our photo taken with some hotties and got chased off the grass by the Triton Square security guard (bet it's not the first time he's chased girls in short skirts!)

Last night Cheer Fit launched at Danceworks!!! Have been very excited about this since I first met the manager some months ago. At the time she offered me a weekend slot but I had to turn it down as so many of Cheer Fit's events fall at the weekend. When she offered me a Wednesday slot, 6pm-7pm, I was uber excited!!! My ridiculously good looking friend Ciaran came along for moral support, which was lucky as I was flummoxed by the CD player (and the light switches . .) I was just glad he didn't make me laugh - we trained as aerobics instructors together and I had to avoid all eye contact or he'd have had me in fits of giggles all over again.

On Sunday Cheer Fit are cheerleading on behalf of Breast Cancer Care at the Adidas Women's Challenge in Hyde Park - Bring it on!!
