Cheer Fit cheer on Royal Parks Runners http://www.unicef.org.uk/regions/products/?product=81 As the official UNICEF Cheerleaders, Cheer Fit cheered on the runners raising money for UNICEF in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on 12th October. The runners had a fantastic route, which covered St. James's Park, Green Park, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Cheer Fit were based in Hyde Park, home of the Athletes' Village, cheering on the runners as they headed towards the finish line. With rousing cheers, dedicated to spurring them on, we hope we helped, just a little bit! Not only did Cheer Fit shake our pompoms for a bit of side line cheerleading, we also performed live on stage in Hyde Park and were broadcast across London on a huge TV screen! Cheer Fit March to End Child Poverty http://www.endchildpoverty.org.uk/our-campaign/keep-the-promise-event On 4th October, Cheer Fit marched to End Child Poverty, in our capacity as the official UNICEF Cheerleaders. It was the biggest U.K. event ever, to End Child Poverty, and as well as being a worthy cause, it was also a fantastic afternoon with bands, stalls, entertainment and activities for children. The Cheer Fit cheerleaders marched from Millbank to Trafalgar Square and even performed our cheer outside the Houses of Parliament. We attracted a lot of press attention to the cause and even had our picture in The Sunday Times! UNICEF were really pleased, and in the following article, refer to us as their own cheerleading squad! Cheer Fit cheer at Cancer Research Relay for Life

On Saturday 13th September, the girls from the Cheer Fit class cheered at the Cancer Research Relay for Life event at the Millenium Arena in Battersea Park. This was a fantastic afternoon for all the family, with entertainment including live bands, face painting, comedians and of course, the Cheer Fit cheerleaders!
Cheer Fit launched the event with a spirit raising cheer to get everyone cheering for the survivors of cancer, who did a lap of honour before the relay started. Everybody absolutely loved it, especially the survivors. Following this, the Cheer Fit cheerleaders cheered trackside, encouraging all the runners, and also had a lot of fun teaching our cheers in a cheerleading workshop.
Cheer Fit are looking forward to getting involved in promoting Cancer Research campaigns and cheering at more fundraising events.
